Pets are not allowed at the Burning Man festival. The event takes place in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada, which is a challenging environment with extreme conditions, including high temperatures, strong winds, and dust storms. These conditions are not suitable for pets, and the event’s infrastructure is not set up to accommodate them.
The only exception is for service animals, as defined by U.S. law, which are animals trained to perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability. Emotional support animals, therapy animals, and pets do not qualify as service animals under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and are therefore not allowed at the event.
If you’re considering bringing a service animal, you should contact Burning Man organizers in advance to understand the specific rules and requirements. Keep in mind that the environment is very harsh, even for service animals, and special precautions would need to be taken.
