Cruising to Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Your RV
Excited for EDC? You should be! The journey to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway is half the fun, especially if you’re rolling in style in an RV. Here’s your guide to getting there without a hitch.
Best Routes to Ride
Scenic Drives to the Speedway
- From California (Los Angeles): Head out on I-15 N straight to Vegas. Bonus: you’ll drive through the Mojave Desert, a landscape filled with cool photo ops.
- From Utah (Salt Lake City): Take I-15 S, and you’ll be groovin’ in Vegas in no time. And hey, why not visit the Valley of Fire State Park for a quick outdoor fix?
- From Arizona (Phoenix): Your best bet is US-93 N. It’s a straight path, and you get to cross the famous Hoover Dam.
- From San Diego: Kick off your journey on I-15 N. If you have some time to spare, consider a detour to check out Joshua Tree National Park for some awe-inspiring nature scenes.
Handy Tips for the Road
- Gas Stations: Unlike the desert, Vegas is packed with places to fill up. But it’s always good to top off your tank when you can.
- Cell Reception: You’re good here—Vegas is pretty well connected. But offline maps are always a smart move.
- Traffic: Yep, it can build up as you get closer to the Speedway, especially during EDC. Stay chill and keep the good vibes rolling.

Camp EDC: RV Check-In
As soon as you roll into Camp EDC, have your RV decal and festival wristband ready. Officials will scan both to grant you access. Heads up, you can only enter if you’re 18 or older.
One Pass, All Fun!
Here’s the cool part: You only need ONE Camp EDC Pass for your RV, covering up to 8 people (just make sure you don’t go over your RV’s max legal capacity). And guess what? No need for each person to snag their own camping pass. Easy peasy!
Heads up! You’ve gotta have an EDC festival pass to enter the campground, but those sell like hotcakes, so don’t wait!
Check-In Times
The campground opens on Thursday, May 16th, at 9 am and closes on Monday, May 20th, at 5 pm. Plan to arrive only during the posted check-in hours, as latecomers might not get admitted until the next day.
Additional Vehicles
Got an extra car? Add it at checkout. Just know, additional vehicles park in the Turquoise Lot and won’t enter the RV area.
Picking Your Spot
The RV campground is split based on your power needs: dry, 30-amp, or 50-amp. Arriving with friends? No spot-saving, but if you’re in the same power category, you might score adjacent sites.

RV Camping at EDC
Power & Utilities
Want electricity? Choose between 30-amp and 50-amp power hookups when you make your booking. You’ll need a minimum 75-foot power cable with the right connector: TT-30P for 30-amp and 14-50P for 50-amp.
Water and Pump-Out Services
Running low on water or need a pump-out? Head to the Camp EDC RV Services Booth in the Mesa, or the Camp Host Chill Zone in the RV areas. Services are available Thursday to Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Monday, drive-thru pump-outs help you hit the road with an empty tank.
Your Comfort and Convenience
To make your stay more comfortable, porta-potties and free showers are at your disposal. Plus, enjoy exclusive in/out festival privileges via a campers-only entrance.
Cooking at Camp EDC
Don’t forget your portable propane grill or stove (small tanks up to 4 lbs)! Campfires and butane torches are strictly off-limits, so stick to safe cooking methods.

Keeping Your RV in Top Condition at EDC Las Vegas
Las Vegas might be a glitzy paradise, but the conditions during EDC can be challenging for both you and your RV. Here’s how to keep your home-on-wheels in excellent shape while enjoying the festivities.
Defend Your RV from the Dust and Heat
Vegas heat and dust can be tricky. You can guard your RV by:
- Start Before You Park: Most of our RVs have sealed windows and doors, and some even come with paper or plastic-covered floors and furniture. This helps keep dust and heat at bay.
- Footprint Control: Place a durable mat outside your RV’s door. Wipe off those dancing feet or party shoes before heading in. Want to go the extra mile? Keep a shoe bin outside.
- Quick Touch-ups: Between DJ sets, take a few minutes to tidy up. A quick sweep of the floor or a wipe down of the counters keeps your space feeling comfy and clean.
- Seal the Deal: Don’t forget to double-check that all windows and vents are tightly closed. This keeps the inside of your RV cool and dust-free.
Love the Desert, Love Your RV
Sustainable camping is not just a trend; it’s a must. Make your EDC camping trip eco-friendly by:
- Solar Power FTW: Solar panels can be a game-changer for your RV. They’re quiet, efficient, and kind to Mother Earth.
- Water Wisdom: The desert is dry, and water’s precious. Think about catching and reusing water whenever possible.
- Trash Talk: Keep separate bags for trash and recyclables. Being organized makes it easy to leave no trace when you depart.
By following these tips, you not only ensure that your RV remains in top-notch condition, but you also do your part to keep the Vegas desert beautiful for future events. Dance the night away at EDC, and rest easy knowing you’ve got a well-cared-for RV waiting for you!
